Rising Seniors

We adopted Coco as an elderly, tooth-deficient, deaf, special needs rescue. She'd been returned to Green Mountain Pug Rescue a few times due to aggression issues, but I had a hunch she'd be a perfect fit for us.

After two and a half years and some power struggles, peace reigns in the Lahey pack.

Today we found out Coco has lymphoma, so we have a month or two left with her. Henceforth, this good, good girl gets all the treats and a disproportionate share of Lahey lap space.

Consider adopting an elderly dog if you have room in your pack and in your heart. We all deserve comfort, love, and a beautiful place to lay our heads down to rest.

Here, I’ve even filtered a search at Petfinder.com for you. It’s set for Vermont, but all you have to do is change the geographic setting to your zip code.
